Re: head flow numbers?

Chevy high performance has a head flowdatabase and I think they have some L98 aluminum heads listed. Look under tech articles.

Re: head flow numbers?

AFR doesn't make a head crappy enough to compare to the 14101083 L98'ers.

Re: head flow numbers?

well then show me where i can find numbers for their heads...ported or otherwise.

CHP seems like they were all very general in numbers on the intake/exhaust side using .6 as a bench.

hmm..

Re: head flow numbers?

CHP numbers are VERY specific with data from .050 up to .600 and everything in between, plus information on their flow testing regimen including exhaust flow both with and without a header tube.

They tested the ALUMINUM L-98 heads (like used on the Vette) but not the cast iron L-98 heads (used on F-body cars). They're different animals. But neither is anything to write home about, flow-wise.

I don't beleive they tested the Fastburn heads, but they did test several different AFR heads.

Re: head flow numbers?

BTW- I put all the CHP flow numbers in an Excel spreadsheet for easy viewing/comparison. If anyone wants a copy just shoot me an email.

Don't mention TPIS, cause Jeff will instantly disregard any related information.

But those numbers do look pretty accurate. Can't fault TPIS when testing stock products, can 'ya? I'm sure Jeff can/will find a way.

Re: head flow numbers?

http://chevyhiperformance.com/techarticles/41598/ Scroll down to the "sidebar" articles. Huge information right there on probably 30 different SBC heads.

I've never seen Fastburn numbers other than GM's BS claims and I've spent way too much time looking.

AFR has their own numbers on their website.

Re: head flow numbers?

yeah what gm claims and what fastburns make, particularly on their own are far fetched all together. speaking of which go clear your pms at MM.
