fuel pumps
fuel pumps
I think my fuel pump is going out, when I replaced the fuel filter 2 months ago it was PLUGGED I couldnt even blow through it. So I think the pump is going out now and I'm wondering what I should use to replace it. Im thinking if I'm going to do it I'm not gonna half *** it, I might as well get the best. With the limited mods listed in the sig would something like a Granatelli 225lph one be too much? Its like $126 in summit and a stock one is like $57 at the major parts stores. So I figure I might as well get the good one and not worry about it later. Anyway, is 225lph too much for what I have done now? Would it hurt anything? Or is there a better one that I should get?
Now having asked that I will tell you what I have planned. In 2 weeks I am either doing an LT4 hot cam kit or Stealth ram intake. Then if I'm where I want to be all motor, 2 weeks after that I will spray it. Then things will go from there.

Re: fuel pumps
If you plan on making more power later on definately stick a beefier one in now because it's a real pain in the *** (time consuming) to swap them and you won't want to do it more than once. I've got a walbro 255 in now and it's been running for over a year (6 months or so on the stock tpi) and I haven't had any problems. As for filters, whatever you do, buy two or make sure their easy to get because the next time you have to change it, it'll be on a sunday afternoon when you can't get a mail order unit quickly.
