Angry fuel pump stoped need help

ok scenario it is a 1987 z28 with a 5.7 liter tpi engine. i let the parts store guy put in a new battery he shorted something under the hood and made the alarm go off and then i could not get it to start. well to get it to run i wired the fuel pump to a toggle switch but i dont like this i would rather have it working right.i dont have power to the pump, i have power to the fuse but i dont know the location of the relay. any suggestion, wiring diagrams, or anything else would be helpful. thanks

relay is a rectangular one over next to the brake booster, should be the only non oval one

Disable the alarm system altogether, they usually have a "valet" button or something of the sort. Then see if you can start the car without the toggle switch.

I don't know if the Camaros have this or not but my GTA has a inline fuse behind the drivers side headlight for the fuel pump. I found this out the hard way. I was driveing my GTA and I hit a pothole and the car shut off, it would crank and crank but would not start. I got the car home and found that I had no fuel pressure, the fuse under the dash was good so I thought my fuel pump went out. I replaced the pump and still had no fuel pressure. Just by chance I saw a wire with a fuse holder built into it but there was no fuse, I put a fuse in it thinking this was too easy to be the problem. I got in the car and it fired right up and has run great ever since. It might be worth a look to see if that is your problem.
