Fan Switch still not working

I bought the 200 on 185 off hypertech fan switch and its still not working. When I ground the wire going to the switch the passenger side fan comes on so I know the fan is good. And the car will go up to about 220 and the driver's side fan will come on and bring it down to about 200 which is what it always did. Why isn't this fan switch working? Is there any way to test the switch or something. If I just forget about the switch would it be bad to keep the passenger side fan running all the time?
Thanks again!!

Maybie your connector is dirty, air in the coolent and its not reading. I have no idea.
As for running the fan all the time, it will wear out your fan motor much faster.

well, sounds liked your hooking it up wrong, the fan switch by hypertech controls your driver side fan. not the passanger, i never seen mine come on, your not hooking that fan switch up is controls your driver side

He is grounding it, and the fan is turning on, which means the wireing, is just fine. Its somthing with the switch.

I thought if it came on when grounding then the wiring is fine, because I am guessing the switch works by grounding out the wire once it reaches a certain tempurature. I am gonna take the switch out and clean the threads in the block and the switch and see if maybe there was a bad ground. If that doesn't work I may just buy a new switch. Is there any way to test the switch while it is out of the car like with a meter or something.
thanks

Bad ground, thats possible. Yeah you have it, your wireing is fine, for some reason its not grounding when it should.

simple way to test the switch is to get an ohmmeter and put one probe into the hole where the contact is and the other probe to the body of the switch and heat it up with a lighter and see if the ohmmeter zeros out.
