Code 44 Oxygen sensor

Ok I got a code 44 on the scanner, lean oxygen sensor. So I bought the o.e. replacment, and it's still coming up. What should I do next?

lean exhaust is many things. fuel pump giving out, header gasket leak, vacuum leak, etc.

yeah the service engine soon light will come on and then go away? I hope it's not the fuel pump.

Check the cable/wiring. Did you reset the computer? Have you checked the other O2 sensor? (isn't there one on the manifold?)

Should be on the driver side exhaust manifold.

I'd spray around the hoses and seal areas with brake cleaner to check for air leaks. That or use a propane torch without it being lit. Also check fuel pressure. Get a scanner and try see what the ECM is reading including the air temp and coolant temp.
