Big Block
You can trim the rocker if required. A GenV BBC has low profile cast rocker covers. When you convert the valve train to roller rockers the intake rocker on #1 cylinder will hit the under side of the cover. The fix is to take the rocker to the grinder and take a bit off until it clears.
It will depend on just how badly yours are hitting. You can buy valve cover spacers or try doubling up the gaskets for a bit more clearance. If it's just the way the valve cover is cast then grind needs to be donw. I use Comp Cams cast aluminum rocker covers with their logo cast into the top. None of my rockers hit anything but then I also use Comp Cams Pro Magnum stainless rockers.

I whould rather buy a diff valve cover then trim them. Hight is not an issure its where the hole around the side the go down to the head for the bolts that hold the cover down. Also what did u do for a power steering pump
Manual steering box on mine also. I pulled mine from an S-10 in the junkyard for $7. You'll need BBC brackets to mount accessories. Trying to find factory brackets isn't always easy. There is a huge amount of aftermarket available but it'll cost you more.
When looking for a donor BBC, you need to get as much as possible from the original engine since very few SBC parts and accessories will fit on the BBC.
