Re: 305 v 350 poll
I maybe shouldnt have but I created it for a simple poll and not an argument but they go hand in hand of course. I wwould just like to see the numbers in front of me of ho people feel.

tell me something, when was the last time you saw an NA 302 fox body that was actually fast compared to the amount of money he put in it?

Yes, a boosted 305 would make quite the beast, esp. if it is outing 300hp in the first place. But I see fast Fox's all the time that are NA. Even stock they are haulin' *****.

but no, their poor NA performance is why people ALWAYS go boosted. look at all the different forced induction kits there are out there for them. hell theres enough kits out there that the mustang community has started makin fbody kits...

HAHA i know what your saying...I daily drive my 2.8 V6 Camaro and by drive i think i mean abuse.I always beat on the car(i have to,to keep up with some of my friends). There are a few people i work with that thought they had fast cars(v8's) until they got beaten by a lowly 2.8L.I'm not saying i like it or anything, personally the engine drives me insane with how horribly it performs compaired to even my 305 H.O.

I loved spraying the hell out of my 305 but I've gone with option 3 and I say doing a 383 or larger is best. If you can budget a 350 build, you'd realize a 383 with equal parts is roughly the same price.

So, unless you are in a certain class and you want to stay there, I would go with the 383 over the 350 any day.
400 block + 350 balancer, crank, and flywheel/flexplate = 377ci
I vote more displacement, it's cheaper than boost.

Re: 305 v 350 poll
Well Im young right now and I have better places on my car to put my money so I'll stay with the 305 for now and start putting away money for a 350 so I'll wait a year or so before I do that but I will do do the swap. When I need even more power then I will probably stroke and bore it to 383 c.i. By the way is a 383 a 350 usually bored over .30 and the rest is stroke?
