The up arrow is Load, the down arrow is Eject. Probably holds 6 disks.

Maybe they went the route Honda did with the AUX in. The Accord has the jack in the center console along with another 12V plug for power.

It looks like there are two different indicator lights on the button, so they are possibly heated and cooled seats (which would help explain why she's hitting 3900 lbs ).

If the head unit has its own ipod controls, then the jack would probably be put in the console or glovebox, so the ipod is stowed out of the way. GM seems to really be going the extra mile with this car, so hopefully that is the case.

Probably just two levels of heat.

Maybe, but it seems unnecessarily far away from the radio, and every other '08 Chevy has the plug right on the face of the radio to the right of the CD slot usually.

I'm betting its in the center console, too. Another example: If you get a new Jetta with the ipod adapter it comes in the console, if you don't there is still an aux input in the glove box.

I think in the console is a great spot. Why does the mp3 player need to be close to the radio? The Accord has a small gap in the front of the console cover to allow the cables to pass through. Keeps the wires away making things less cluttered.

Every Chevy has the jack on the face of the radio because they all use the same radio - the Camaro doesn't.

Looking at the pictures, I don't even see built in MP3 capability. Usually radios with MP3 capability have a obivous giveaway that they play MP3, that being the, "Folder/Directory" change button. I don't see this button on the dash, but hopefully I am just overlooking it!?!?!?

Looking at the photo again, I don't see the "Category" change button that you usually see with XM radios. Maybe wherever this button is, it will also change the directories for your MP3 cd's.

I like the car. Im a chevy fan and love the small block chevy but damit it so heavy. Why??? Im just sick about the weight. Scott can blow it off all he wants but its a screw up and he know it.

Im driving a Ford now and will look hard at them come next purchase along with the Gm offering but weight does matter. Im not putting up with a company that cant do any better than this. I like the car but what a pig.
Save your pennies for something exotic, the '11 V8 Mustang is set to pack on another 100-150 pounds, when the S-197 replacement comes out it will probably be in the same weight neighborhood as the 5th gen for the very same reasons the 5th gen is on the heavy side.

Hell IIRC even BMW's current M3 is heavier than the V8 Mustang. Given the Challenger's reviews even at 3700+ pounds the F5 will be light on its feet - unsprung weight has much to do with this and the if the front is well in check, the IRS will address the rest in that regard.

Fully loaded with the auto, it'll probably be over 4000. The base and fully loaded G8 have about a 100 pound difference. On the CTS, the large moonroof alone adds 100 pounds.

That is one reason (aside from optimistic spec sheets) that the cars tested by magazines often differ so much from the base figures.

Is it that big because we'll need that much extra traction or because they couldn't find anything else to take up the space...?

That's one thing I'm really looking forward to. I wonder how progress is coming with the GM accessories that we heard about awhile back. I'd like to stand out a little from everyone else I pass on the road. Different spoiler maybe...6.2 on the cowl..who knows.

That's one thing I was wondering about as well. I've got two Chevy vehicles currently and they both have dual 12V. I thought almost everything did now.
