Okay, since pricing is such a hot subject and since Chris and I always suggest to refuse Camaro markups as much as possible as also know that it may be difficult. Here's a nifty poll for you all to see where you stand. Please be honest.

Please choose how much above MSRP you feel is fair and reasonable. This should also be how much above MSRP you are willing to pay for your 2010 Camaro.

If you select OTHER, please be sure to post your thoughts in reply to this thread.

If I end up getting one, I'll wait till the markups have run their course, and will pay no more than MSRP. I have no issues letting someone else be the "first on the block" to have one, and thus paying the premium.

The company I work for has a deal with GM that allows us to buy any GM vehicle at invoice + 1%. (I think it's 1%, it may be 2%)

We have a similar package... as also mentioned I don't need to be the first kid on the block to have the new Camaro. I will be patient and make sure I get the big dog Camaro when it finally makes its appearance. As of right now I think I will be ordering the car also...

MSRP or less. Otherwise i won't buy. There's a reason the manufacture suggests that retail price.

I'll be pissed off if a bunch of dealers don't accept supplier pricing for the cars.

i will let them rot as long as they have a rape sticker in the window. i also will not knowingly buy one that has been sitting on a lot for 6 months being rained on / rawhided by the lot owners son while they hoped to find a sucker to pay the abuse-me-tax they attempted to put on it.

I bought a '93 when the 4th gens first came out and paid MSRP. That is the last time I paid full MSRP for a new vehicle. I would pay MSRP, but no more, for a 2010 convertible.

I agree. We get supplier discount too and that's the only price I'd pay.

Ive got to ask honestly how long you guys think mark ups will be? In 05 Mustang had the only deal in town. In 09 you will be able to go across the street to the Ford dealership. And if youre willing to have a little bigger car a Chrysler dealer. Hundai is working ontheir pony car. Coupes are poping up all over the place.

Very good point......

You hear that Scott and the rest of the folks at GM? I know you can't MAKE your dealers sell them for sticker or less (we had a very animated discussion about that in another thread), but I KNOW you can make it very, VERY, VERY clear to them, in no uncertain terms, that the ball is in their court if the Camaro is to sink or swim when the waters are infested with other sharks (Mustang, Challenger, Hyundai, BMW 1-Series [or heck if Camaros are marked up as much as I bet some dealers will try, you might as well say a friggin BMW 3-Series coupe as well]) that are formidable alternatives if people can't buy a Camaro for the price you set forth in Detroit.

the dealer still makes plenty of money if they sell the car for MSRP.. no reason for the consumer to pay more than that imo
