Second, I don't think anyone at GM has ever told us the displacement of the engine in the production V8 car. Anything Peper said about a 6.0L engine would have been in reference to the Concept.

Wait... you're quoting an article that starts out by saying GM hinted the Camaro was a 2009 MY car, and now its a 2010 MY car?

Seriously?

I don't see what's so funny about that. GM revealed the car and everyone assumed it would be a 2009 until GM said it would be a 2010.

QFT. I doubt Peper said any of the things they claim.

Ever since the fact that Camaro is intended for production became public knowledge, GM has been saying 2010.

Anything else was pure speculation, just like the rest of that article.

True, but your version included more than mine. I left out the stuff that was made up (not necessarily by you).

Believe what you want but if they both have been misquoted in the past six months I havent read about any editors retracting thier stories. Or GM stating that these stories were false.

They both have just let things slip and if you put those things together with statments from known members of this site you can start to see the bigger picture of what engine is going to be in the camaro. Like I said in my first post though I dont know anything.

Why would they bother retracting the stories?

If GM came out and publicly denied every false rumor that popped up on the internet, nobody in the company would ever have any time to actually design and build cars.

Whatever. GM doesn't have a 6.0L, 400hp engine right now. It's a safe bet that whatever engine they use will not meet those specs.

Its not just some rumor that popped up on the internet it was a interview that was then posted on the internet. And thats my whole point is that GM does not have an engine that meets those specs right now. But I think later this year when all the specs for the car are released they will.

I saw that interview. None of the stuff that they claimed Peper had said was in quotes, which means that you can't reliably assume Peper actually said any of it.
