Even mule interiors are better than Dodge!
you guys crack me up. Tit for tat. I'm sure I speak for most by saying, Don't judge yet. There will be redundancy in the line of sight. (maybe even the much beligned torque gauge.) I hope the car DOES come with a torque gauge. In fact, It would be really neat if on the Nav Screen, you could configure an active DYNO so you could see HP and torque ratings live. If ONLY for the gimmick of it. GUYS LIKE GADGETS. Anyone bitching about the torque gauge just told on themselves. Now we all know who has 12:00 blinking on their BETAMAX'S.
That's funny right there.

That's a no brainer for me. No Camaro would equal me buying the Challenger. Thank God (and GM) for bringing back MY car.

You are either completely color blind, completely out of your mind or at the least just like to say dumb **** just for the sake of arguing if those halos aren't blue to you.
Given that, i've decided to just ignore everything you say from here on out. There's no point. If you can't even agree with me on what ****ing color the pictures we are looking at, then we will never agree on anything.

.........."NO ONE cares that much about bus voltage, or even the almighty Oil Pressure. Secondary values are reviewed seldom, if at all, by a typical driver. And it is the typical driver that the car SHOULD be designed for."
It's a sportscar, first and foremost!
A sportscar that "appeals to", not "designed for" the typical driver.
A typical driver will buy one, even if it has a full gage IP, whether they use it or not, probably even faster as it will seem special and unusual to them.
Arguing about it now is a moot point anyways, GM has made a decision, one way or the other, like it or not....I'm used to adding pillar pods etc to get what "I NEED" to drive the way "I LIKE" while keeping my finger on the pulse of my ride.

I'll slip down to the dealership and check out a Challenger with my MOPAR lovin uncle this weekend, if I can find one.

(I will continue to challenge certain statements by you, as conditions warrant)...I do agree there is a darker shade of blue going on in the DIC - but the halos are white LED (which sometimes can have a hint of blue in the right photo conditions). I still do not believe those halos are bright, light blue like in the Challenger

looking blue (ish) to me too.
Check out the New Buick Enclave headlights. GM seems to have a thing for Blue Halos now.
Maybe so. (Again, another reason to wait for true pictures of a production interior). But if so, it will still not be the in-your-face, vivid light pastel blue of the Challenger instruments...

On this you have a point. I suppose I should follow my own advice and sit in one before rendering any final judgements. But I wonder if I ever will bother? 13 MPG... open diff... no remote start option, no HUD... and $42k with nav/moonroof...

here's what the challenger's guages SHOULD look like at night. This is my Charger, should be the same illumination. And as you can see in the video, they are nowhere near as blue as the pictures show.

It could be, the Challenger has different backlights than the Charger. (My picture above is right off the Dodge web site). But whatever. Gauge color is the least of my issues with the Challenger interior. We should not even be able to compare it to the Charger! What other Chevy car will we be able to compare the new Camaro's to? None. It's unique, and it fits the Camaro's exterior design perfectly. More than I can say for the Challenger.
I like the exterior styling on the Challenger. I hope it's a success, and it likely will be, in its niche, despite its no-statement interior. But it's not for me.

well to defend Dodge here for a second. What people are calling "parts bin" is actually a designed family resemblence. ALL new Dodge products share the same basic dash layout and look. Even though the gauges are different sizes and not really "parts bin". They are designed to flow through the production line. GM has done this too. So has Ford. It is a carryover from the "crosshair" grille, much like pontiac's split grille. And Ford's F**ked up grille.
