Even mule interiors are better than Dodge!

I haven't posted a thread in a long time, but when I saw this I though maybe we will thank our lucky stars we have a real interior team working on the Camaro. Sometimes we forget this is a ground-up car and the Dodge guys got ye olde parts bin. Check out the Challenger interior and then see if you think the same about the yet-to-be-production-ready Camaro interiors.

i agree that the Challenger interior screams parts bin and is bland and emotionless
contrary to the Camaro's unique, and divisive styling
i guess the Challenger's must be better cause nobody will actually Hate it.. then again nobody will Love it either

As I said in that thread, it is an interior with little "pop" but everything appears to be simple, well laid-out and functional. It would suit me just fine, although the typical "interior by Rubbermaid" that they're throwing in the LX cars might be a turn-off.
I can see this thread turning into something more than intended.
I do believe GM will give us better materials than Chrysler has with the Challenger. Sometimes I get more annoyed with the fit and finish than the style. I can't say the 4th Gen interiors were all that great but liveable I guess so is my Explorer.
I sat in an Audi R8 recently and that interior was what I call ideal for my taste.

"but it's just like everything else"
I hope this thread gets closed, it serves absolutely no purpose. The people that are into the 5th gen are just going to beat their chest about how great it is and then spend the rest of their day trying to convince everyone else they are right and the camaro interior team is the cat's meow, only real interior designers in the world.
The problem is, those of us that find the 5th gen interior ridiculous are just going to keep commenting about how bad we think it is, even compared to the parts bin / truck look alike / rubber maid LX car interiors. And buy a mustang is the dumbest retort ever since it s the only car with a retro interior that is close to as lame as the 5th gen.
I'll take ye-olde parts bin over ye-olde entire frickin design anyday. I'd be preparing to buy a 5th gen the first year it came out if only it had the EXACT same interior as found in the malibu, and i'd be putting a down payment down now if it had the EXACT same interior as the G8. But alas, the asstec design team moved on to the interior design team of the camaro.
