Will 2001 SS rims (17x9) fit 1993 Z?
i just picked up 2001 camaro ss wheels (17x9) for my 1993 z28. I couldn't find a thread on here with these rims. i could only find ones with ZR1 (17x9.5) but then again i am a noob to this site. I did find something one time about the 1993 hub being just a hair big, like .03 inches to be exact if im not mistaken. they suggested grinding the inside of the rim down with a dremel. Is any of this true? thanks in advance

You can test fit them, but most likely there will be an interference fit when you try to put 97-02 and newer wheels on a 93-96 car. It's the rear axle hubs that are 0.03" larger in diameter than the front hubs. In 97 the rear hubs were made smaller to match the front hubs, and the wheel hub holes were made smaller to match.
The interference fit can be eliminated by lightly sanding or grinding the inner diameter of the hub hole in the wheel. Do all 4 wheels so you can rotate the tires as required.
