Re: Wheels for 4th Gens

I scored a set of 17x9 SS wheels for $300. Major upgrade over the stock chrome 5 spoke 16" wheels. Wheels are getting harder to find as the older C5's and such are disappearing. I looked for a while, finally landed these. I'm happy.

Re: Wheels for 4th Gens

Not everyone is a fan of big rims on 4th gens and I'll probably sell em soon and go with some Z06 rims but I have 20" Irocs on my 4th. I know u usually see em on 3rd gens or 80s cars but I like that it was something different. I don have the all chrome ones but the ones with the black outline if you guys know what I'm talking about. Not sure how to upload photos here but I have pictures of the car in my album and profile pic.

Yeah I really like my Stock 10 spokes for my SS. I never like the 93-97 rims whether it was the snowflakes whichever

You can't load a photo directly into a post. You need to post the web address of the photo using the [ img] tags. Since you already have an album on this site, go to the album, click on the photo you want to add to a post, and it will have the full code, with the [ img] tags in one of the lines under the photo. Copy the full code, and paste it in your post.

See my response in your separate post.

You will need a can opener in the back to fit 29.1" diameter tires in the rear, and with those wheels (which are actually to wide for that size tires), they will stick about 1" outside the fenders.

Re: Wheels for 4th Gens

Good looking ride... one of my favorite Camaros.

Buddy of mine bought a 30th Anniversary SS convertible brand new, one of the few with the T56. He went crazy turning it into a low 9-sec/156MPH drag setup, while trying to keep it looking as stock as possible. He did OK with that, but then he went totally nuts, running low 8's at close to 170 MPG, and its hard to fit 30.5" slicks, a huge spoiler to keep the butt end of the car on the ground at those speeds, and a chute.

Re: Wheels for 4th Gens

Wanting to get a set of Boss 338 wheels 18". Was looking at the 9.5's but apparently Boss does not make a wheel with the correct offset for that wheel width. Does anyone have a set of Boss 338's on their fbody? I still want to get a set but if not I will put American Racing torque thrusts on.

OEM Corvette wheels, or reproduction? Any preferred generation Corvette? Preferred finish - chrome, polished, painted, silver, black? Many Corvette wheel “sets” are staggered - rear wheels larger diameter and wider than the front. Since you ask for 18’s, does that mean you want the same diameter and width on both the front and the rear wheels?

You have to narrow it down a bit.....
