Vette Wheels

The past owner of my 99 ss put vettte wheels on my car. Only one problem the rear are so wide that on tight turns they are rubbing the wheel well. You guys have any experience on what I can do. I was thinking either getting a little less wide tire although that may not work on these rims or spacing them out?

BFH mod.

get a big hammer and pound in the inner wheel well to clearance the wheel.

or get a wheel with better backspacing/offset

hmmm, not sure if I like the BFH method. Do you know if I can get wheel spacers anywhere?

Wrong forum. There are numerous posts regarding various years, diameters, widths and offsets of Corvette wheels on the "Wheels and Tires" forum.

Best place to start (after I move the post to the correct forum) would be to provide specific info on the wheels - year, model (base or Z06) diameter, width and offset. This is particularly important if they are aftermarket/repro wheels, with offsets different than a stock. They've been making Corvettes for more than 50 years, with a huge variety of wheels. Also list exact tire size. Also describe where they are rubbing when you turn - inside, against the inner fender liner, or outside against the fender lip.

I've seen tires rub because of damaged sway bars, weak bushings in the panhard bar, rear of vehicle not centered correctly over the rear axle, etc. But without knowing the specifics of the wheels/tires and where they are rubbing, its going to be difficult to diagnose.
