Cooper or Avon Tires? Has anyone seen reviews? I can't find any ratings online.

Re: are these any good?

Cooper is pretty good -- I went to school with a guy that is now an engineer there.

He tells me that Cooper's biggest failing, in their own opinion, is wet handling.

Their biggest advantage, according to him, is that they test EVERY tire that goes out the door (as opposed to, say, Goodyear, which only checks a small sample).

Incidentally, Cooper owns Mickey Thompson.

Personally, I'm taking my chances with Goodyear's testing policies, and so far, my F1 GS-D3s haven't let me down. My buddy at Cooper is a little ticked at me.

He should have hooked you up with a deal you couldn't have passed on.

Avon has been arouns in the UK for many years. They're just now getting to the US. Don't know much about them.

I had Cooper Cobras on the front of my SS. They did ok, just like any other old school 15" radial. That is until the dumb a$$ who bought it from me decided to run them above their speed rating in the middle of the summer.

He tried. He offered me a great deal on a set of Cooper Zeons. My car gets driven in the rain, though, so he wasn't able to meet my needs.

What's your budget? KDWS are good in dry, wet, and snow. KDW are good better than KDWS in dry and wet, but garbage in snow.

I had a set of KDWS before my Goodyears. Liked them just fine, but the Goodyears are a significant step up.
