springs question
i just put c6 wheels on and they are rubbing when i go over bumps kinda getting annoying i have eibach lowering springs. my question is can i change the springs to stop the rubbing and if i do change them do i need to switch anything else...?
First we need to know what year car you put them on. Probably a 4th Gen...???
Then we need to know what wheels - factory or aftermarket? If aftermarket, what size repro wheels, particularly the offset.
Then you need to tell us which tires are rubbing, and where.... front or rear tires, or both. If fronts - at full lock or with the wheels straight ahead? Inside edge of the tire or outside edge of the tire?
The offset on the C6 wheels is so large that the wheels sit very deep in the wheel wells. The rears require large spacers? Did you use those?
Finally - There's a "Wheels and Tires" forum that has a "how to" on installing the C6 wheels on a 4th Gen. Did you check there first?
I'll move your post to the "Wheels and Tires" forum.

You put the wrong size tires on the back. Got to be hurting performance. Did you correct the speedo.... or is it off by about 8% (e.g. reads 55mph at a true 60mph)?
Don't fix it by raising the car.... its already got a severe "rake" from the back tires being more than 2" larger in diameter than the fronts. That look is fine on a drag car with huge slicks and skinnies (mine has 28" slicks on it - but the bumper had to be cut, and the axle relocated). But its not too cool with street tires and the huge wheels IMHO. Its going to look even weirder with the car jacked back up.
A 285/35-19 will add more than 1/2" clearance all the way around. A 285/30-19 will add more than 1" of clearance. But the 30-profile will make the rear sidewalls look too thin.

Roll the rear fender lips!

Get some 1 inch hub spacers, I know H&R and Eibach both make for sure; that will give you 1/4 inch more room by the fender lips.

Also check the condition of the bump stops, they might be wornout.

Depends what "look" you want. If you raise the entire car back up, its still going to sit 1" higher in the back than in the front. At least the gap in the rear fender won't be too severe with the 28" tires.
I like the raised back end/rake with my slicks, but not with my street tires, which match the factory tire diameters. But then I don't like the gap at the rear fender with the 25.7" tires.
