http://www.racestarindustries.com/
i kinda like the look of there 17 inch wheels. i want a skinny wheel for the front since i have the madman rack and it will rub with a wide wheel, but i see that the 4 inch wheel is not recomended for the street, why is that? im not into autocross or anything, it would just be normal street driving ...
anybody using these or any more pics of them?

with some more research, it looks like this is the company that bought out greg weld wheels after he past, same wheel with a few new changes i guess... look like a pretty nice wheel, anyone running them?
They are not related to the Pro-Star, other than appearance. The Weld Pro-Star is not a one piece cast alloy wheel. Its made of two forged pieces. The Race Star wheel looks like the old "XP" series of Weld wheels. He sold that line off when his company (the original Weld) was bought out the first time, and they are now sold by JEGs and Summit under their own names.
The front skinnies simply aren't designed to take "drive" (torque) loads, or lateral loads like those encountered in turning. They are intended to do nothing more than support the car for a 1/4-mile pass down the track, in a straight line.

so the 17 x 4 inch wheels can are not rated for street use, and thats what im looking for, so if i went with the 17 x 7 wheel, what kind of tire could i put on it? and do you guys think i could get the look right with a wheel like this? i want the 17s casue i like the look of them, and i want a thiner wheel to increase my turning radius, casue right now my wheels hit the tie rod end before full lock.... b
but i love the look of there 17 x 9.5 rears and 17x4's on that corvette...

Greg Weld sold Weld Wheel Industriess to American Racing. Then he started a new company called Greg Weld Motorsports. Then he bought the original company back from AR. Then he died.
