Offset question

Sorry for the noobish question, I have a 94 Z28 and am looking at an 18X9.5 rim with a +57mm offset on all four rims. Will this work and look fine? I was also considering an 18X10.5 rim with a +58mm offset for the rears. Will a spacer be needed? Much thanks in advance!

Ken

Re: Offset question

57mm offset on the 18x9.5's will be fine. 58mm offset on an 18x10.5 gives you an 8.00" backspace, even more than the 7.93" BS on the 17x11 50mm ZR1 replicas, that cause about 50% of the people who use them to have to hammer the rear inner fenders and cut the corner off the jounce bumper bracket. With a wide tire, they are very likely to rub.

Re: Offset question

Thanks for the info Fred! If I went with the 18X10.5 rim with the+58mm offset for the rear, what is the widest tire I could go with without any rubbing?
