Need tire advice

I need new tires for my 93 T/A and bang for the buck and reading many reviews I'd like the Kumho Ecsta MX's 275/40/17s for my WS6 rims- easy enough if Im going to keep using those wheels.
But... I really want to get new ZR1 style wheels with 17x11's in the rear. They dont make that tire in 315/35/17 and from what I've found so far the closest match would be the Kumho V700's, but they seem to be a competition tire from thier ads. Thier tread is 6/32". Is anyone running this tire on the street?

From your mods, it dosn't look like a dd. If that's the case you could look into some drag radials. MT will be coming out with a 315/35R17 drag radial soon. Will you be driving in the snow and/or rain? The BFG TA KDs are a decent tire, but not for snow. They're not even really rated for rain, but I did it with no real problems. Just drive carefully.

The car is stored winters, sees little rain- but will drive it in rain only if I have to (Power Tour, car shows & etc). It will be driven in the summer months almost daily if nice & dry, never goes to the dragaway to run the qtr mile so 60' is of little concern to me. Drag radials are definately out.
But, I do take it to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI every summer for non-competitive road course events where I drive it medium/hard, but not super agressive like one would do while autocrossing.

If you want racing tires I'll sell you my 275/40X17 Pilot Sport Cups. 100 babied miles. Paid $275 each and will take $100 each plus shipping. If they don't look like new I'll eat 'em!

Thanks for the offer- much appreciated, but am going to stick to the MX's for the fronts.
