Need offset size for 16X8 rim.

Need offset size for 16X8 rim. I'm trying to get tt2's but my dealer tells me that they are not made right for my 97 Trans am and will stick out past the wheel well 3 inches. What size offset do I need to make them fit nicely. And are they available.

Re: Need offset size for 16X8 rim.

The stock 16x8 4th Gen F-Body wheels are 55mm offset, about 6-5/8" backspace.

You can run as low as a 35mm offset with an 8" wide wheel, and it would not stick outside the fender.
