Question I'm amazed at the level of Kumho 712 bashing !

For a "cheap" ( Sub $ 140 ) Z rated 17" tire I have been pleased w/ mine.

They wear well, they do excellent in t he rain, and I ran the time in my sig on them after passing tech inspection - no air down, no nothing.

So, what the bashing ?

I had to pester Discount to order 2 for me from Tire Rack for the rear - they were pushing towards the ASX's IIRC.

I guess next time I will have to look at a different tire or manufacturer.

I ain't paying 220 a pop for Good years, that's for sure !

I currently have the AST on my stock 16" salad shooters and i'm very pleased with them. They wear good, dry traction is good, wet handling is pretty good. I bought them from tire rack and i've had them for about 3 years and i'm still running them. I just recently bought some stock 16" wheels that came off a firebird that will get powder coated and probably have that very tire mounted on them. I had some cooper cobras on my car when I first bought it back in '05 and they sucked. I got sideways everywhere I went. Put those Kumhos on there, and bam no more unnecessary tire spin. This is my personal opinion, I really like these tires. The price and performance was a deal for me.

Re: Kumho ESCTA AST

I had them and loved them. for 80 bucks a tire, you done get much.

I drive pretty aggressively and love cheap tires. I also have FUN with my car, not some keyboard warrior serious race car driver.
