just installed 18x9.5 (56mm offset)questions

I just installed my 18 x 9.5 Z06's with Nitto 555 in 275 40 18. The wheels are AFS with a 56 mm offset.

Now, here is whats up,

The outside corner of my left front tire is slightly catching the fender when I turn the wheel all the way over (almost in front of the "Z28" emblem and where the push clip goes). It is actually catching the clip and wanting to pop it off. Any ideas about this?

The rears are slightly touching one spot, I am just gonna flatten it out with a big f'n hammer.

I will post pics when I find my camera.

Verify the backspace to check the offset. Backspace should be about 7.4".

You made things worse with the oversize tire. The 275/40-18 is a full 1" larger than the stock Z-rated tires, and is going to make them rub more than the correct size tire. A 275/35-18 would have been a better choice.

Where is it rubbing in the back - inside or outside edge of the tire?

The rears are rubbing the inside edge, only under a good flex of the suspension. Easy fix with the hammer.

I put on the 40's b/c I didn't want a harsh ride, the 35's will be next though.

You might want to check the panhard rod and the panhard rod bushings. If they are rotted away, you will get excessive side-to-side movement of the chassis.
