According to this source,
Billet Wheel Adapter FAQ - Skulte Performance Designs
an 84 runs 0 offset wheels. The 48mm offset would put the wheels almost 2" deeper in the wheel well than the stock wheels. You would need a spacer/adapter to move them back out where they belong.

The tires willl probably hit the inner fenders and the lower control arms in the back. The fronts will probably be into the fender liners and the struts. A 3rd Gen owner could give you a more accurate answer whether it can handle wheels with 1.9" added backspace.
But do you really want the wheels and tires tucked that deep inside the wheels wells? Going to look strange.

As I recall, I run a 17 x 10 with zero offset, and a 275-40-ZR17 on all four corners; I ran into clearance issues with the outer tie rod ends which shouldn't be an issue with the larger wheel. I think what you will really have issues with will be clearance when you turn your wheel. You'll rub the tire into the subframe on the front, and into the fenderwell/firewall area on the back. The strut clearance might also be an issue. Details are getting fuzzy, as I did all my research about fourteen years ago =:O though I still have the car (with nicely polished steel where the wheels rub sometimes)

personally, i have 17 ' SS mags on my 1992 Camaro and i first bought the skulte 2 inch spacers...but the back stuck out way too much, so they are 1.25 out back and 2 inch spacers up front..perfect fit and drives awesome...18's too big IMHO
