Re: Eagle F1

Do you mean the Eagle F1 GS-D3? Go to Tire Rack, and check the "Survey Results" based on over 800 responses. Seem to be getting very good ratings.

Re: Eagle F1

The GSD3 is a great tire IMO. I've had it for a while and love it. Great traction, very good in the rain, etc. Just don't get them if you have 18's.....I have 18's all the way around, and back in Feb, i rubbed up against a curb (go figure, only time i've done it to this day), i put a whole in the tire (275/35/18), and ordered a new one in March. Guess what? I STILL HAVEN"T GOT MY DAMN TIRE

@Q#$ing thing has been on backorder for almost a year now. Goodyear ran out and you can't find one to buy anywhere So I've just got to wait for my tire....

Re: Eagle F1

I currently have the GS-D3's in the back of my Z and they seem to very good tires in every aspect. The reason I have them is that they were on a set of wheel I bought.

I don't think, however, that I would ever buy them new. There are comparable tires in quite lower price ranges, too.

Re: Eagle F1

yeah, i read what they had on tirerack, but i wanted to check with true enthusiasts, not guys with civics and SLKs saying their driving style is fast and aggressive. I wanted to know how they hold up on our cars.

How do they compare to the Nitto 555?

Re: Eagle F1

I've had them for a few thousand miles....only been in the rain recently, so haven't tried wet traction. But on dry, they're awesome...very predictable. Being on 18 wheels help as well...not much flex in high speed turns. I can only compare them to the Firehawk SZ-50s because that's the only other tires I've had on the Z28. They're definitely stickier then the SZ-50s, which is a great tire for its price...too bad Firestone stopped making them.

Can't compare them to Nittos, because never drove them. IMO, you'll like the GS-D3s.

Also, on the Tirerack webpage, you can sort for survey comments for Camaro/Firebird drivers.
