Unless you have aftermarket axles (which typically switch to a 1/2"-20 lug size, in Grade 8), it's likely a metric M12x1.5 stud that snapped. If so, that would be a Class 8.8 stud (about equiv to a Grade 5 in SAE ratings). A 9.8 might have sufficed, but a Class 10.9 metric stud is plenty (no need for a Class 12.9... more maintenance).

I stand corrected. The NAPA studs are the Class 10.9.

pcm tune for tires

Have taller tires in back than in front. Fronts are stock height, rears are 1" taller, trips abs inop light. Is there a programmer or a tuner that can reconfig for diff sizes in front and rear. I know hypertech makes one, but it changes for all 4 corners, need to sep front and rear.

I have read the FAQ and done a minor bit of searching. I have been looking at new rims for my 1996 Z28. I wanted 18's all around or 18/19 combo but wanted feedback if anyone has used this type of setup on a lowered camaro before. I have QA1 coilovers and the eibach prokit. I current have ZR-1's with 275/40/17s on all four corners, and I am very sick of that look. Any help would be appreciated.

I use the Doorman studs from O'Reilly's. It was that or Moroso, which they were out of. They have held up plenty well so far.

Helpfull advice

Well, Thanks for the advice guys, I ordered some 5 x 4.75 1.25" thick aluminum adapters on eBay for about $80, and the wheels cleared perfectly and look great! (although I did have to have the hub opening machined about 1/16" bigger to clear the hub, no big deal though) The fronts bolted on perfectly and the car looks awesome with the staggered chrome vette wheels! Next will be adapting C6 brakes (any information on the REAR brake swap would be greatly appreciated!). Thanks again guys for your help!

You can only post photos by including a link to the photo's location on an internet server. You can not post photos from any other source.

Powdercoated C6 wheels

Heres what they look like powdercoated if anybody wants to know. FYI you have to paint the center caps yourself(plastic)!!!

P.S. Does the size of the rear spacer make anybody else nervous????
