Was wondering if anyone in the forum knows if Corvette C4 Z06 wheels (17 in front & 18 inch rear) (or is 18 & 19?) (SORRY, DONT KNOW IF 1, 2, OR 3 IN WIDER), will have clearance to fit my 1994 Z-28.

I can get a deal on new chrome. wheels Can't afford to put tires on them for a trial fit. Dealer doesnt know.

do u mean C5 z06 rims or are u talking about C4 ZR1s?

 

yea it's a C5...got my "vette stuff mixed

ok, was just checking from the typo. they will fit, u will have to take a file or dremmel and grind down the inner hub on the rear rims tho, thats it.

 

is that for wheel well clearance or to get the wheel on the hub?

any recommendation on (affordable) tires?

just to get the wheel on the hub. im not sure about the tire well clearence, i didnt think about it until u said something, the rear on a 18" zo6 is what 10.5? i think it may go just fine.

 

the width of the tire & wheel is my main concern.

 

Mine fit great with absolutely no problems. I don't know how much your dealer is charging you for wheels, but e-bay can be a great place. Here's a sample of what they have. Not bad for brand new wheels AND tires, ready to go, shipped to your door.

C5 Z06 wheels:

The factory 18x10.5" wheel has a 58mm offset, which puts a really wide tire into the inner fender liner. May require a spacer or a really huge amount of hammering. There are aftermarket 18x9.5" wheels that do not have that problem.

The factory 17x9.5" wheels have a 54mm offset, which is correct for a 4th Gen F-Body.
