Best tires for 17 X 9 1/2" Front and 18 X 10 1/2" rear
Looking for the best setup on these rims (z06 replicas) that will not require any hammering to fender wells or modifications.
Will 245 45 17 work for front?
and
275 40 18 for the rear?
Thanks.

You want to match the stock tire outside diameter. Which tires came stock on your car? If they were the 245/50-16's, you want tires that have approx a 25.65" diameter. 245/45-17 would match the diameter in the front. If you have a 9.5" wide wheel, use a 275/40-17. What is the offset of your repro wheels? If its between 45-56mm, you aren't going to have a problem with either of these sizes.
In the back, the 275/40-18 it too large in diameter. You would be better off with a 275/35-18 or 285/35-18. Some people even go 315/30-18, but that size tire would most likely require a bit of hammering. Again, what is the offset of the rear wheels? If it isn't in the neighborhood of 50mm for the 10.5" wide wheels, you may have some rubbing.

Just looking for the proper setup for the car. Dont know the size tire the car came with from the factory but it had the normal 16" rims and it is a z-28 A4 WITHOUT the performance package ie 3.23 gears, 150 speedo. It had the 2.73 gears in it but presently has 3.73s. I wanna say 235 __ r16 or something like that.

The "base" Z28 tire was a 235/55-16, which is 26.18". I would still use the 275/40-17 in the front. A 295/35-18 in the back.
The website shows the offset as 56mm, but doesn't say if that's for the front, the back or for both. If the backs are 56mm offset, its going to be very tight on the inside edge of the tire and the fender liner. You might need a 1/4" or 5/16" spacer. Spacers may require longer studs..... starting to snowball.
Its so close to call, I would do a "search" and try and find someone with the exact combination you are planning on, to see how it worked on their car. Its surprising how much difference there can be fitting the same combo on two different 4th Gens, and having it work with no problems on one, and require hammering on the other.

Got the rims in and the front has 54mm offset and the rear has 56mm offset. So what are my best choices in setup here? Any that wont rub in the rear? Thanks in advance.
