Anyone Heard of Sonar Tires?

Just bought a Z28 and the guy I bought the car from told me it had Avenger ZHP's. He must have been confused because they are Sonar Sport NS1's. I've never heard of this company and can't figure out if they're any good. I looked them up and their website is http://www.sonartyres.com/

Are these freakin European tires?

You need to read the entire page you linked... as badly as it is written:
Produced by a worldclass tyre manufacturer, in the Far East
Those are not "European".......

How long before they fall apart and kill me?

I've got 255's all around, I thought that'd be too big for the front. I've heard good things about Kumho's, what do you guys think of them?

thanks for that tip, now I found some reviews for the tire.

I'll be replacing them when I can, they really are noisy, but I thought that was a good thing at first (the z06 has very hard, noisy tires).

The only Kumho street tire I would run is the MX. Their competition tires are good and the MX is borderline competition.

Their other street tires leave much to be desired, but I like for my tires to be able to keep pace with my car.

I have Nankang NS-1's on my Formy, they were on it when I bought it. They're wrapped around some god-awful chrome wheels.

The tires aren't bad, actually. I'm surprised at how good the wet traction is, they seem to be very good in the rain. As far as wear, I can't tell. I don't know how many miles were on them when I bought them, but they don't seem to have worn much in the 5k miles I've put on them.

I was actually going to re-use these tires when I buy new wheels, since they still have plenty of tread, but I just noticed a small bubble in the sidewall on one of them, so I'm thinking I'm going to replace them.

Oh, and needless to say, they're WORTHLESS in the snow. I got stuck in a snowstorm last week, I actually had to leave the car overnite at a CVS because I couldn't make it any farther, I got stuck between 2 hills, couldn't make it up either one.
