18x10.5 wont go all around?

Kind of what I've gathered poking through here. I havent researched extensively, and nothing I saw seemed rock solid so I guess I'm looking for a confirmation to an easy question.

I just crossed 100k miles and my stock 16x8's are corroding from the inside out, so I'm gonna get some nice c5 y2k rims. I want the same ones all around and they might as well be 18's they aren't much more expensive.

Those are what I had in mind. Can I do that with 305's or 295's all the way around? Do I need to go with 18x9.5 and 275 or 285?

Thanks
-Steve

There's no need to have 305s on the front of the car in my opinion. I would go with a narrower wheel up front.

I'd just like to keep them all the same so I can rotate them. Rear tires tend to get used up a little fast . I love seeing fat tires like 305 but theres no urgency to have them on this car. I guess I'm going with 18x9.5

I was just looking at tires and the prices are disappointing I was paying about $100/tire for some khumo's summer tires in 245-50-16 which worked well enough. Looks like for 275-35-18 I'll be ponying up ~175/tire. I guess I'd take some tire recommendations but I'm probly just gonna spring for something thats the cheapest or almost.

Is the car your daily driver? What weather conditions does it see?

I don't think you can put a wheel with an 8.0" backspace in the front without a spacer. And, the edge of the tire may be close to or outside the fender, depending on the width of the spacer. If you like that look, you can do it. In the back, the 8.00" backspace will probably require some or all of the mods described in the FAQ for the 17x11 50mm ZR1's. That wheel only has a 7.93" backspace and many people have problems with it rubbing or catching on the jounce bumper bracket.
