17x11 rim in the front?
17x11 rim in the front?
I'm about to buy 4 17x11 ZR1 rims with an offset of 50mm. My car has been dropped 2 inches. I know i'll need some work done to get the rears to get on. Will the front fit right in or will I need to do some modications?
Re: 17x11 rim in the front?
Do a search.... there's an Auto-X guy that posts here with 17x11's on all 4 corners. I think he uses a spacer in the front, and I'm not sure which offset he uses.
Re: 17x11 rim in the front?
I've got 17x11 CCW's & 315 BFG KD's on all four corners. If I remember right, the offset is 44mm and CCW supplied 3/16" spacers. The car is lowered. I didn't measure the height before we lowered it, but there is about three fingers between the top of the tire and the fender.
The only rubbing I have is when the steering wheel is hard over. The front of the outside tire rubs the plastic fender liner. The fender liner seems to be pretty flexible and gives way. I've got a 35mm front bar and 600# constant rate springs (all from Sam Strano) and haven't had any rubbing vertically in the front.
