Texas emissions and safety... HELP

Due to work, I'm relocating to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where there is emissions and safety.

I have a 94 caprice wagon that is unlikely to pass either.

Am I screwed? Will I have to remove the drivetrain and swap it in a older vehicle, like a 68-72 chevy pick-up.

I used to drive to the track, put on the slicks and race it and drive home.

We don't have emissions or safety in Grand Rapids Michigan so doing what I did was not a problem.
Here is my motor:
LT1 383 with approx 500 miles
Cast Scat stroker crank
Scat forged H-beam rods
SRP forged flat-top pistons
Total Seal rings gapped for 150 HP nitrous
Std volume high pressure oil pump
Ported aluminum heads
2.00/1.55 stainless valves
CM 612 springs
Aluminum roller rockers
230/236 XE Comp Cam
Cloyes double roller timing chain
Mezzire water pump
S&B air filter
3.5" MAF
BBK 58mm throttle body
Ported intake manifold
SVO 30lb injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
No ABS, A/C
Bryan Herter program
Headers
No Cats

The front and rear bumper supports (actual bumper under the plastic) and the inner fenderwells are gone.

Don't worry about the safety stuff, you should be ok there. Where in the D/FW area are you moving to. That will decide what your options are.

There are some "friendly" places to inspect your car at.

I've never needed one, so I have no idea where they are at, though. Might want to check with the folks over at LS2.com Texas section or DFWLS1.com.

Good luck!

All you would need is cats and it should pass fine as long as the tune is not way out of whack...at least where I go on the far west side of FTW off hwy 199.
