University of Htown, Baby!

On a side note: This has got to be the most pathetic thread in the Texas section I've ever seen . I remember a big chant war going on at elementary school one day. Half the kids were chanting "aggies suck" and the other half was chanting "longhorns suck". 10 year olds getting wound up on something they know absolutely nothing about. I think I was just swinging on the jungle gym .

This thread reminds me of that day.

Neither university is hard to get into it all depends on what school you want to get your major in. I have been accepted everywhere i've ever applied.

You got that right, if you're in the top 10% of your class. Thanks to that rule, it makes it harder to get in because they fill so fast.

A&M's grad school is much harder to get into though.

You might want to learn how to type in complete sentences first there Brook.

Yeah, I'm in grad school in the nuclear engineering department, getting my Health Physics, M.S.

I actually got into A&M right out of High School but didn’t get into the Mechanical Engineering school. I got into ME at Tech so I went there. I’m not going to get into this “My school is better than yours” thing, Tech just isn’t for me. After two years I’m just worn out up here. Every time I’ve gone to A&M to see people I have so much fun. I fit there so much more. I’ve also decided that ME isn’t for me. I hate all the math/Calculus and physics. I’ve decided to get into Construction Science. My Dad is in development back in Fort Worth. I’ve got a good paying internship at his company this summer and not only that but 3 guys also have Construction Science degrees from A&M up there. It only makes sense for my future to go to A&M and get into Construction Science.

I just cant wait!!!!!!!

Chris nailed it on the head....IF you are in the top 10% of your grad high school class it is easy to get in...

after the first year weed-out courses are done though the men and the boys are seperated when all the "crap school" students who were in those top 10% couldn't cut it and ended up kicked out

yeah, I've heard of CS majors getting massive interships. paying around 5 figures for a summer. There is a ceiling there though, but right outta the box, it's a nice way to go.

Yeah I'd love to meet up with some fellow car guys. Where does everyone meet?

Once I pick up my LT1 block I'm going to need some help with the build up before I drop it in. I've already got a few parts for my swap.

By the way I'm going to try and get a job at the Discount Tire Co. in College Station. I work at Discount up here in Lubbock and my boss says he can prob get me in down there.

I'll hopefully be meeting up with a few people this fall when i'm down in College Station as well. I'm hoping i can get my 69 camaro back up and running with the LT1/T56 in it. I look forward to meeting you guys and having a new group of people to hang out with. Also planning on having a BBQ at my apartment (not a big apartment but we'll see what i can do) when i get there in august. I need to meet a few people in C.S. that know a good bit about the LT1 so they can help me out in deciding what to do to the setup in my car the following summer and help me learn more about it. I'm new to all this F.I. stuff so it'll be a new experience.

William
