Merl's v6 firbird pulled 173hp and 409tq. Yes that's 409 he's got the sheet to prove it and ben's got it on video. The thing spun the tires on the dyno. Talk about a sleeper.

He only made one run because they didn't hook the wires up right or something like that, but personally i think he should have pulled in 3rd instead of dropping to 2nd and making the car shift to 3rd. Anyway that was the high torque number for the day.

What does the V6 have? Is it automatic?

I can get over 600rwtq from a torque spike in my A4.
If a A4 is dynoed correctly you shouldnt see a high spike like that.

It's an a4 with a cutout, lid and flowmaster muffler. They hit the gas to far down on the rpms and it shifted into 2nd instead of staying in 3rd, and it cut on and off everytime it hit the 125mph speed limiter.

Ah that explains the torque spike. I hit 600+ rwtq when I do that.

The DYNO should correct for temperature.

When I installed the Cam in the Z I put down 375 RWHP Uncorrected and Corrected it went down to 355 RWHP a 20 RWHP loss due to correction but yes it was a cold day when I dyno'd that is why the car was making so much power. The same with the heads uncorrected it was alot more then the corrected value of 432 RWHP.

The dyno is SAE corrected therefore it will correct for Humidity and Temperature.

the reading on his car was from it down shifting from 3rd into 2nd he told me it would not down shift at 65mph but it does and it also has a speed limit of 120mph so it shuts down before its peek rpm range it shut down about 5k rpm he needs to move up the speed limiter before he dynos again
also there is nothing to hook up wrong

You can do it yourself. Just get a dremel tool and go at it.
