whoops. what i meant was, not the specifics of the package, but how to tell. did all V-6 coupes come with dual exhaust? is there a way to tell by the VIN?

 

The VIN alone, no. The VIN given to a dealership, yes. No most came with single outlet exhaust but don't assume two exhaust pipes means it is Y87. A lot of people change the stock exhaust (maybe even more have changed there exhaust then there are people with a Y87). Just look in the drivers door jam for the sticker with all the RPO codes and look for Y87 in that list. Good luck on your findings and welcome to the board.

 

RPO Y87 included a Torsen limited-slip rear axle, quicker steering ratio (14.4:1), and dual muffler outlets!

I have a 3,8L Camaro with RPO Y87 but the original muffler is only a single pipe design
I think it's a european noise regulation.......

 

Don't forget the 3.42 gears (autos only)
