looked at it again today. cranked and drove, definitely blown gasket. It drove nice and shifted fine, only drove about 1/2 mile, no pulling no bouncing no grinding and caught second gear. good oil or water pressure. I will be trailering this home tomorrow for 725$

any thoughts on the 96 3.8 v6 ?

I need to do a lot of reading

the day after I got my son this firebird, my friend from work wrecked his 97 WS6 TA 6 speed. my son has been stripping the ta for everything, tail lights, interior parts that are in better condition, 12 disk cd changer the whole interior

He owed me about 6 hundred bucks this is why my son was able to get this stuff so easily

the ram air hood was cracked, but I have it , the ram air box I have. one wheel was good one wobbles just a little. 4 good new tires. the rear axle was sheared off and the front spindle was also, got what was left of the rear end
we have the sway bars for my sons car

I now have an aluminum drive shaft for my car

I just don't have the money to get the Lt1 and 6 speed.

Hey slowride what are the symptoms of a blown gasket? How did you determine it was a blown gasket for sure? I am trying to figure out if i have one, but my car really has no symptoms other than it is leaking coolant. I starts/idles fine and there is no white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. Thanks for any help you can give bro

this one is billowing white smoke and puking water and skipping a little. but with a little revving it clears up

I just drove it about a 1/2 mile to make sure the trans and rear and breaks worked fine. It drove great. so I considered it fixable at a low price even if I have to replace the engine

bad news is I didn't have the money to get the lt1 six speed in the TA, what was left of the car sold for @1200

It may be a blown intake gasket who knows till I tear into it
