Re: What Intake, Headers, Exhaust, etc...?

what is a good HP gain ESTIMATE of the following mods:

random teach 3" cat back
cut outs
azsm CAI
full pcm tune
TB bypass
160* thermostat *i know its not hp per say..*

this isn't HP but how would these mods work with that setup as well:

melling high volume oil pump
GM performance water pump
new opti spark
NGK TR55 Plugs
MSD 8.5mm spark plug wires

1994 3.4 V6 - Want new exaust system

My Camaro is stock except for a K&N CAI I recently put on. I want to buy a Flowmaster exaust system.

Chassis: With Flanged Catalytic Converter
Engine: 3.4L V6

Brand: Flowmaster

Description: American Thunder Exhaust System, Full Flowmaster Tone, Most Aggressive And Highest Performance, 2.5" Inlet, 2.5" Outlet, Dual Rear Exit, 80 Series Crossflow Muffler, With 3" Stainless Tips, Hardware

$328.03
Now my stock exaust inlet and outlet are also 2.5". Does this matter that I'm replacing my exaust system with one that is the same size? Or is it the overall system that is better? Is this a good buy and what gains (HP and otherwise) will I get? Will I sound "ricey"? Because I don't want to.

Thumbs up Re: What Intake, Headers, Exhaust, etc...?

Just got some $$ to spend on the car. Deciding to spend the extra $3-400 and go w/ the borla cat-back, finally get the SLP CAI, and have the shop by me put in a high-flow cat. I HOPE to have it done by the end of may and when it is, I will have a very very very sweet sound clip for you guys soon!!! Wish me luck.

Stock inlet and outlet should only be 2.25" Not 2.5 unless your car came with a flowmaster from someone else...

and I really don't think going to 2.5 will net you that much power...

k&N FIPK gen 2, Ci headers, high-flow cat, feeding a 3in catback from magnaflow. No questions just get this.

Re: What Intake, Headers, Exhaust, etc...?

got a 98 v6, looking for a relatively low budget exhaust that doesnt sound like crap.

go flowmaster/magnaflow/hooker (whichever is cheaper?)

I bought a Magnaflow a few months ago and it works, sounds, and looks great! I definitely recommend it. Everybody tells me they love my huge, 3.5", chrome pipes too...
