what intake do you have?
Hey, I was just wondering what intake setup all you guys have,a nd what works best for you all?
I think I am going to purchase the "Induction Combo" from http://www.tbyrne.com/v6catalog.html then buy a K&N, what do you guys think my horsepower gains are gonna be? Also, is that a good choice, or is there something better out there?
thanks and if you can post links, ect to where I can get the stuff you reccomend.

Most prefer the Fast Toys Ram Air system. That system utilizes a the high pressure area underneath the front valance - in a way, steals some of the air from the radiator. Its a ram air/cold air induction. You should see about 10 to 11 horsepower at the wheels from that. There are a couple of cheaper knock-offs of the FTRA system, I think RKSPort makes one of them.
Any of the other systems simillar to MustangEaters will help and benefit you, but they are only 'better than stock' air intake systems. They are neither cold air or ram air. But effective over stock none the less.
Stock system isn't made to perform its best, its made to be very quiet. Your air intake actually has mufflers on it! Once you remove all that stuff and replace it with, say, a whisper lid. Your air intake will be more direct, less bends, bellows, and other technical stuff that otherwise gets in the way.
You either want the FTRA style, or one that is sealed to the hood. The factory SS style ram air isn't what I consider to be an effective Ram Air system, but it is indeed sealed to the hood and hence a cold air intake system. There are other hoods on the market that actually use the SS style scoop for a true ram air system. The Ultra Z hood is one of them.
