i have a 91 firebird 3.1L v6 and on some days it runs awesome and other it sits and misfires/ chugs... my question is does the computer chip in the ignition key which controls pass key decoder module and starter enabler relay have any effect on the engine performance? does anybody know the answer.. if you have a similar problem let me know what you did to fix problem. when engine starts to chug if you turn the motor off it will not crank as if a starter enabling relay has been activated wait 30 seconds and engine will restart. I've replaced distributor fuel pump fuel filter spark plugs wires, computer, and engine control module/powertrain control module.

i hav put my chip in the wirring and to a switch with it off the car runs fine so i dont think the chip has anything to do with that
