i went to go start my car and is didnt start about 2 days ago finally after trying and waiting for about 45 min to an hours it finally started with no problem. i found it kind of odd and and coundnt figure out why. at the time i started to think it was maybe the fuel pump or something because it would it would start then shut of immediately. my father told me that he think its maybe an alarm and thats why i couldnt start it. but heres the problem it happened again and now i cant get it started so i had to get it towed its a 1994 3.4L i just wanted to hear your guys opinion on it. so please if u guys have any idea let me know thanks

 

if the car is craking over than it does not have anything to do with the alarm system...if the anti thieft light was blinking and the car wont do **** then thats when there is a problem with the alarm system.

 

go advice above; also regarding the question about fuel pump: when you first turn the key to the on position you should be able to hear the fuel pump / pressure engage; and there is an esy way to check the fuel pressure

From what your saying I thinking something electrical here but I can't really say much as need more details; is there a service engine light on ?? codes ?? or are they even available on the prior 96 OBDII

well today the machanic said that it was my fuel pump he told me that i totally fried it and that it must have been from a short he thinks it was because of the sigaret light because i was hucking up my cell to charge anyways he told me that he is going to replace the hole fuel pump system and that he will fix also the short all this is going to cost me $650 and i will have a one year wananty on it in case it happens again. so i dont know if thats a good deal or not?? he is putting in a new one from gm

also i asked him how much it would cost to paint the hole car metallic green and he told me also 650 to paint to what i see he does a great job so i think its good just for the white racing stripes is it better top get the sticker from rksport or should i have him try to pain the stripes??
