Question: Adding Manual Fan Switch?
I want to add a manual fan switch to my 94 3.4 camaro- i have looked around and found a few different guides on how to go about it, but i am still not sure on how i want to do it.
most guides/switches will only operate the low setting on the fan. some can opperate both, but are more complicated to install. is this something i can still do myself? (i have had some experience running fog lights and strobe lights w/switches)
i also noticed that most guides are not written for the v6 model f-bodies. is their any difference?
if any of you that have done this can give me any tips that would be great!
Thanks.

If you have a Haynes or Chiltons manual for your car, just look in the back for the wiring schematic. I'm sure that there is one in there for the V-6, but if not the wiring for the fan is pretty much the same. The diagram will tell you the color and continuity of each wire. Buy yourself a 3 way toggle switch for the fan so you can run high/low and off. If that's too difficult just run the high side. If you don't have a manual, go to Pep Boys or some auto parts store and pick one up for like $20. You're better off with a service manual, but if you can't get your hands on one, get a Haynes......Good luck
Whatever setup you use....don't forget to put an inline fuse in your power wire. At least a 20amp. Burning out your fan wouldn't be a good idea

also make sure u find out how a relay can be wired dont just use the switch use a relay and only splice into the wires dont cut them as far as telling u how to do it thats a pain in the *** hope you find a guide if not maybe someone here can help more
