question about the v6's
#2
If there stocck, 3.8 will take it pretty bad. The 3.4 will have to have quite a few mods to make up for the horsepower difference. Also if the 3.8 is 2000 or newer, it will have 3.42's stock so it will be a kill from the start. This my expericence with em. I used to have a 93 and raced my friends stock 99 when he got it and it was no match for it. Then I got my 00 and could see why I lost.

it won;t be that bad... depends on the 3.8L...
a 3.8L with 3.08s and an auto(most of them) will run low 16s, occasional crap one in mid 16s...
and a decently driven 3.4L 5-soeed will run mid 16s... stock for stock...
take off the filter, unhook the catback behind the CAT on the 3.4L and it will be an easy low 16s, possible high 15s car properly driven
