question about sparkplugs

I was told that u should change ur spark plugs every 100,000 miles, would it make a power difference if i got some splitfires or jus stick with the cheaper ones?

I strongly suggest changing your plugs at least every 100,000 miles. Preferably even sooner.

Anyway, I've heard nothing but bad things about the Splitfire plugs.

I switched to AC Delco Rapidfire plugs, and have found them to be even better than the Bosch 4+'s that I was previously running.

I believe that they're something like $3.00 ish per plug.

Well worth it.

100,000 miles??? Not on a 3.4!!!

Even on the ones made for the 100,000 mile tune-ups, try getting them out of an aluminum head.......they are welded to the head!

Spark plugs aren't that expensive......30K to 45K is about right, platinums maybe 60k miles.

I have the Rapidfires now.......swapped them in at 30K, 65K now....not one complaint.

I too have the RapidFires... swapped them into the car last spring. I changed out my plug/wires again recently and kept with the RapidFires. They were 3.14$ each for me from Advance Auto. I was lazy about swapping out my plug wires for some reason. I remembered today that I hadn't changed out the drivers side yet. Took me less than 5 minutes to pull/replace all 3 on the drivers side... if only the passenger side was the same Stupid EGR junk.

I used splitfires, then when I fried 2 wires due to an EGR leak I replaced the plugs at the same tiem with rapidfires, they were 10 times better then the splitfires were even brand new.

change the plugs every 30,000. Thats what i do. I'd stay with the stock plugs. I went to bosch platnum wires. They lasted a 2 weeks before serious hesitation occured. Went back to stock wires, and now is all good.
