Now that you mention that, nearly every time I get out of my car I smell gas. Its not too strong but its still very noticeable.

Stop farting then . On a more serious note I would go get that checked out or try to find the source. I have over 126k miles on my car and don't smell gas at all.

65K miles here........no gas smells.

The only way your gonna have a gas smell on a 3.4 is if the EVAP canister is leaking or the lines and hoses are bad.

Get it checked ASAP!

If ya got a 3.4L check out your fuel lines. i remeber chcing ahwile bac that there was a recall on a bunch of 34.Ls I thin in 94-95, something about the fuel lines running near the AIR pump.

I forgot the specifics but I now my car is good because the fuel lines were routed another way, then hte recall listed. It ws only on some 3.4Ls.

Or general stuff chec the little "quoick Disconnect" fitting I ahve heard people have problems with thos eon all GM cars, fuel lines, see if there is anyone top of your intae mainfold, maybe a leay injector?

then the usual check the gas tank, for leaks.

Shouldn't be smelling any gas, I have 118, and do everything form rallyrace(not sanctioned ) to autocross my car and I have no fuel problems.

do we have fuel evap canistors on 3.4Ls I know I did on my 2.8L, I fixed a problme with that, jsut a charcoal filter, right? I know thats known to cause fuel smells.

but guys you may want ot look into the recall thing I was tlaking about, I don't rember the specifics, but I know its somtehitng about bad fuel lines, and how they are routed and it affected alot fo 3.4Ls, but no all of them. I checked it out on my car nd I didn't have it my fuel lines were routed differently then what it wa said caused the problem.
