i put a new oil pressure gague in when i put my headers in which is sorta a wast cuase im going to a v8 now but thats besides the point for now i need to keep the v6. the oil pressure gage is jumping all over the place and im wondering if its from the heat coming off the headers

 

I'm guessing you mean you replaced the oil pressure sensor. I did that too when I installed the headers, snapped the old one off trying to wrangle the header in place. But since replacing the sensor the gauge has been working just fine, no issues with heat. I do have the coated headers and I reinstalled the old heat wrap on the new sensor though?

 

yep i did the same thing snapped it right off. the pressure wasnt jumping all over before this though. oh well im puting a new engine in it next season so not really a big deal. thands for the response
