Mini Cooper S

I got walked by a Mini Cooper S (twice). Stock, it is supposed to have a supercharged and intercooled 163-hp engine. It was embarassing but at the same time, I was shocked. Anybody else go up against one of these?

Funny you should bring this up...my sister-in-law just ordered a mini cooper this past week. She had to put $1000 down and pay sticker price. It's scheduled for production on 5/16. I'm looking forward to seeing it...and hopefully she'll let me drive it too

I really dislike Mini Coopers. I think they are overpriced crap cans. They are so tiny and ugly...yet still cost what 20k? Anyways, getting back on the subject. My friend burnt a Mini Cooper (not S type though ) in his 2000 dodge stratus. I bet if you get CAI and maybe better exhaust the outcome will be alltile different.

Ok, i did some research on Mini Coops. Just because i didnt want to be called ignorant for critisizing them while not knowing much about them.

Well the base price is 16,425 for a tiny squash box with 115 hp.
I very much dislike the Honda Civic, but hey the base for that is 12,810, with better gas mileage.

As for the S type, its pretty cool, has a nice suspension, and is pretty quick with 160 hp in a 2,500 lb vehicle. It beats the Civic SI. But to me. if i were gonna get an econo box... i would get an SRT-4 for 1 thousand more than the S type. Mini The SRT-4 looks cooler, sounds cooler, and is fast with more room!

There lol, i had put my opinion on the mini's.

It is a sad statement to think a company with the racing and musclecar history of Dodge would have a 4 cyl as the 2nd fastest car in their line up, but I am glad that a somewhat American company is putting something out that runs better than 15's stock.

GM better hurry up or get left behind again.

I actually like the Mini Cooper S, infact I have thought about buying one as a city car (once I can afford it).

I test drove one a while back and have to say they are a blast. They handle very well and are pretty darn quick.

Overpriced? Yes Fun? Hell Yes
