manual fan switch worth it?

Is the manual fan switch from RKSport worth the money? Is it too hard to install? I know there is a switch to install inside the car. Is it hard to install that? Ive got about 90 bucks to spend on mods at this time. Im looking at 160 thermostat, manual fan switch, chrome shifter. I was thinking 160 thermostat and manual fan switch (if its worth the money). If not Ill get the shifter or sway bars off an SS in a salvage yard up the road. Thanks

if you seriously race your car then heck yeah. i remember when this Z and i were going at it and i beat him. he said "again" we hot lapped it. i had my fan switch on and by the time we got close to racing again, i could feel the difference in my engine bay. it had to have helped somehow being cooler.

fan switch

When I wasn't using the fan switch I was getting consistent 15.6s
at the track. After I put on the fan switch and nothing else I was getting consistent 15.4s. So it seems to be good for a tenth or two if your car gets heat soaked.

If you dont seriously race your car or hot lap it, just turn the car to either defrost or defrost and feet vents. The fan will come on and bring the temp to 170.
