We'll I've got 8 cyclinders that shoot exhaust through ported heads out through long tubes that lead to my E-Borla Cut-Out, all V6er's bow down.

Okay, aside from the trash talkin, there are some V6 F-Bodies that sound quite nice although I will admit that none of them have that "rumble" that we V8 owners are accustomed to.

I've been reading up and have heard a lot of compliments on the B&B...but a couple of people have said its higher pitched (and hollow) up top than, say, an Edelbrock, is this true?? That's the problem I've having with my 40 delta series and don't want to pay $600+ to have a similiar sound (above 2200 rpms).

WOuld I be better off with a cheaper Edelbrock or American Thunder?? Or is that hollow, motorcycle (not farting or popping sound, which the delta FM doesn't really have) sound just our V6's?

i have never heard a v6 sound like a v8. plain and simple. i have listened to every clip in this post and there is always the v6 upper rpm sound....dead give away. I used to think that mine sounded like a v8.....got a v8.....dont think that anymore. True dual v6's wont sound like a v8, just a louder v6.

now sweet sounding v6s is another story. just becuase its not a v8 dont mean that it wont sound good.

and the 3.4 will always sound better than the 3.8. simple mechanics, 60* heads have a very unique torquey sound.
