I know there is something you do with the tensionr, I for my I jsut put the palm of my left hand on the pully tensionor leaned on it and pulled the belt really really hard off the alternator pulley, and put the new on the same way.

The smaller pulley below the alternator and to the right, with a large single bolt in the middle is the belt tensioner. To losen it, use a socket wrench on the bolt and push downwards. The belt will loosen.

After that, removing the alternator is a simple matter of getting the 3 bolts off that are on the front of it.

Good luck.
