how do i know where to cut the access door for my fuel pump

Question how do i know where to cut the access door for my fuel pump

i have a 97 z28 camaro 5.7l.. i know my gas tank is right behind my back seat but not sure where the fuel pump is located..? and what tool should i use to cut into it?

Please pay very close attention to the possibility of a fire hazard from employing spinning, grinding or electrically driven metal cutting shears... even pneumatic tools can spin abrasive wheels fast enough to stream sparks if you decide on being too impatient to take your time doing this and wind up working in a manner to" speed things up". Instead, use the safe methods of cautious cutting and do this job out of doors... away from structures, loved ones and strangers. Keeping a Large ABC Fire Extinguisher handy for close encounters with a fire is a good idea, too.

I did the same thing when i had my 85 camaro alot easier than dropping the whole rearend, I used a hammer and a really sharp chisel, no risk of sparks just lightly tap it, if your chisels sharp enough it will cut through pretty easily.
